Car Free Week Sept. 22 to Sept. 28

All over the world, people take part in CarFree Day. It is a chance to spread the word about the impact that cars can have on our environment. CarFree Day encourages everyone to cut down on the pollution caused by cars by going CarFree or Car-lite for at least one day. It also provides a great opportunity to explore other options by using alternate modes of transportation.

Each year we ask Hudson County commuters to participate in the movement and register with the TMA to pledge to go CarFree or Car-lite. On 9/22, International Car Free Day, many meet the challenge and try to continue the effort beyond one day by walking, biking, and taking the light rail, train or bus as often as possible.

Registrants are entered into a raffle to win:
  • $50 Visa Gift Card
  • $25 Visa Gift Card
  • 4 Tickets to Liberty Science Center
  • $10 Starbucks Gift Card
