Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a federal, state and local effort to enable, educate and encourage children, including those with disabilities, to walk and bicycle to school. The New Jersey Department of Transportation has partnered with the Hudson TMA to administer Safe Routes to School programs in Hudson County.
Programs include Walking School Bus, Youth Bicycle Education, Walk and Bike to school events and the development of School Travel Plans.
